1. Connection between the data server and the host computer

(1) LAN cable connection

Connect the PC and NC with a LAN cable.
Open the door of the control panel and connect to "ETHER CD38R" "SLOT2" in the upper left direction.

(2) Settings on the host computer (PC) side

Check the IP address and subnet mask value of your computer.

(3) NC side settings

The data setting procedure is as follows.

① Press the function key "SYSTTEM"

② Select "NC setting"

③ Select "External device settings"

④ Set items 1 to 11 on the setting screen as follows.

⑤ Setting screen 12 to 22 items are set as follows
(You can switch screens with the cursor page keys ↑ ↓)

⑥ Setting screen 23 to 33 items are set as follows
(You can switch screens with the cursor page keys ↑ ↓)

2. Program input / output with the host computer

(1) Program input (host computer → NC data server)

Enter edit mode. Press the program key to display the program screen.

From the folder structure screen on the left, select DTSVR_HOST.
The contents of the FTP server of the host computer connected to the data server board are displayed. Select the folder that contains the program you want to enter.

Press the focus switch key and move the cursor to the program you want to enter from the program list screen on the right.

Press the menu selection key several times to display "4/5" and press "GET".

(2) Program output (NC data server → host computer)

Enter edit mode. Press the program key to display the program screen.

From the folder structure screen on the left, select DATA_SV.
The contents of the program memory installed on the data server board are displayed.
Select the folder that contains the program you want to output.

Press the focus switch key and move the cursor to the program you want to output from the program list screen on the right.

Press the menu selection key several times to display "5/5" and press "PUT".

3. Invoke a subprogram on the data server

Set the M198 folder.

When calling a subprogram on the data server to M198 from the main program in the CNC memory area, the folder containing the subprogram must be set to the M198 folder.

Enter edit mode.
Press the program key to display the program screen.

From the folder structure screen on the left, select DATA_SV.
The contents of the program memory installed on the data server board are displayed. Select the folder that contains the subprogram that makes the M198 call.

Press the menu selection key several times to display "2/5" and press "M198 Settings".

The specified folder is displayed in the M198 operation folder field at the bottom right of the screen.
The M198 operation folder specification is cleared when the NC power is turned off.

4. Run the program on the data server

Set the main program.

Enter edit mode.
Press the program key to display the program screen.

From the folder structure screen on the left, select DATA_SV.
The contents of the program memory installed on the data server board are displayed. Select the folder that contains the program you want to run.

Press the focus switch key and move the cursor to the program you want to execute from the program list screen on the right.

Press the menu selection key several times to display "1/5" and press "Main Program".
