How to maintain the Telescopic cover (how to open the cover)

X-axis Telescopic cover

(1) Move the X-axis to the end of the stroke so that the Telescopic cover on the opening side is in the folded state.
(2) Remove all the fixing bolts (arrows in the figure) for the table and Telescopic cover.

(3) Slowly move the X-axis to the opposite side of the Telescopic cover cover and check that the Telescopic cover and the table are separated.

(4) Since there is oil on the Sliding surface on the bed, be careful not to slip when placing it on the bed, and do not step on the Linear guide, Ball screw, piping or wiring.

(5) Grease the rollers of the Telescopic cover.
The X-axis Telescopic cover does not have a pantograph.

(6) When closing the Telescopic cover, slowly move the X-axis to the Telescopic cover side in the reverse order of opening, and tighten the fixing bolt after the Telescopic cover and the table are attached.

At this time, be careful not to pinch the piping / wiring.
Also, the Telescopic cover should be fixed to the table in the closed state. (Prevention of damage)

(7) Operate the X-axis with full stroke and check that there are no abnormalities.

Y-axis Telescopic cover

(1) Move the Y-axis to the end of the stroke so that the Telescopic cover on the opening side is in the folded state.

(2) Remove all the fixing bolts (arrows in the figure) for the saddle and Telescopic cover.

(3) Slowly move the Y-axis to the opposite side of the Telescopic cover cover and check that the Telescopic cover and saddle are separated.
(4) Grease the rollers and pantographs of the Telescopic cover.

(5) When closing the Telescopic cover, slowly move the Y-axis to the Telescopic cover side in the reverse order of opening, and tighten the fixing bolt after the Telescopic cover and saddle are attached.
At this time, be careful not to pinch the piping / wiring.
Also, the Telescopic cover should be fixed to the saddle in the closed state. (Prevention of damage)

(6) Operate the Y-axis with a full stroke and check that there are no abnormalities.

W-axis Telescopic cover

The W-axis Telescopic cover does not use rollers or pantographs and does not need to be opened for grease up.

If you hear a squeak, wipe off the dirt on the surface with the cover extended, and then wipe the surface with a cloth dampened with oil (Bactra No. 2 etc.).
